As a caregiver for her grandmother, our Founder Karyn Dean, saw a need for easy access to a trusted and reliable resource that could provide guidance—a place where caregivers, seniors and eldercare professionals could turn to help navigate the many challenges associated with aging. She also saw the opportunity to assist local businesses expand their reach by connecting their products and services with those who are actively seeking.
From there, the Senior Resource Guide was born and a single area edition in Fort Bend county began bridging the gap for the senior industry.
Now in several major Texas markets, Senior Resource Guide’s audience reach is over a million annually with new market expansion plans on the horizon.
Cy-Hope’s Mission, Vision, and Purpose
Cy-Hope was birthed by a core group of people concerned about the children in our community. Cy-Fair I.S.D. is the third largest school district in Texas, and the 22nd largest school district in the country. Unfortunately, over half of the over 117,000 students in Cy-Fair are labeled as at-risk, meaning a family of four makes less than $40,000/year (with 38% of those making less than $22,000/year).
Cy-Hope serves as a catalyst to bring needs and solutions together, bringing hope to at-risk children so they will grow into educated and productive citizens. This will, in turn, make a lasting and positive impact on the community of Cy-Fair. Our vision at Cy-Hope is to rally our entire community: businesses, education, churches, civic organizations, hospitals, and individual volunteers to advance the goal of making life better for kids in Cy-Fair.
IMPACTING YOUR COMMUNITY
Community Impact Newspaper is vested in the communities we serve and has dedicated reporters in each community who attend city council and school board meetings. We are among the first to report on local business, transportation, education and health care. Our staff serve on chamber boards, volunteer with nonprofits and are involved in our communities to make them a better place to live and work.
Owners John and Jennifer Garrett launched the first edition of Community Impact Newspaper in 2005 with three full-time employees covering Round Rock and Pflugerville. Now, Community Impact Newspaper distributes hyperlocal news and information to millions of local residents and business owners each day online and monthly by mail.
Started in 2018, Cypress Lifestyle Magazine, a monthly publication, was created exclusively for and about the residents in the Cypress area.
Their mission is simple, they hope to play a small role in helping the community flourish, by producing a private magazine filled with news and special events that take place each and every month. On many levels they operate a little differently than your typical magazine. One of the most exciting facets of their publication is that it truly belongs to the community. Not only is Cypress Lifestyle exclusively for and about the residents, it is the true pulse of what’s happening and important to you.
Every month they will be highlighting local businesses, area homes, and hot spots in the Cypress area. Special featured spotlights will include the local history, students and schools, hometown heroes, and how the community “pays it forward.”
Renewal by Andersen
We know our customers are just as interested in energy efficiency as they are the appearance of their windows. But when the jargon comes out – R-values, UV ratings, thermal efficiency – it’s easy to get lost in the numbers. What sets Renewal by Andersen apart is our focus on the whole window performance for improved comfort of your home. Where competitors concentrate solely on glass, we understand that energy efficiency relies on the right combination of glass, frame, and installation. The glass solution for you depends on the climate you live in, the architectural design of your home, and the orientation of your windows to the sun. Click here to learn more about our glass options.
